Use Siri Dictation On iPhone 4S To Type On Mac With TouchPad 4.0

TouchPad for iOS has built up a reputation for being one of the smoothest remote keyboard and Trackpad apps to do it, with functionality and features second to none.
TouchPad4
Many remote control apps require you to download some form of third-party installer for your desktop, but since TouchPad is dependent solely on OS X’s native Screen Sharing technology, you won’t find yourself in the familiar predicament of trying (often unsuccessfully) to get two apps to connect with each other.
TouchPad has just been handed a fairly major update by developer Edovia, bringing Siri integration for those fortunate iPhone 4S users amongst you.
Providing your iPhone 4S and Mac share a Wi-Fi network in common, you can now use TouchPad to send voice notes from your device which Siri will, as she does with aplomb, convert into text understandable to the Mac.

Here are the rather excitedly-written release notes from Edovia, emphasizing the time and effort put in to the app:
At last, TouchPad 4.0 is out with even more Lion Love! This version took more time than planned and most of the work was made deep down in the app, mostly in preparation of Screens 2.0, which uses the same VNC framework we’ve developed for the past years and had to be revamped. The result is a super solid app that won’t give up!
Some features, such as the dragging gesture, were changed so we recommend you take a look at the revamped help documentation, bundled in the app. However, there’s still many new features.
Of the App Store’s rather incredible 500,000+ applications, although some are good and some are bad – as you would expect, some are just lacking a little TLC. It’s refreshing to see Edovia, (who aren’t the only outfit to work tirelessly on app improvements) still consider the customer experienceafter the money has been banked. Developers of neglected apps should certainly heed the example set by Edovia.
As has been the case throughout the TouchPad release cycle, this version runs very smoothly, and as well as the Siri integration, the update freshens the interface of the modifier toolbar on the iPad version and adds support for the EyeTV media player, as well as the usual array of bug fixes.
You can download TouchPad 4.0 from Apple’s App Store via this link. It costs $4.99, and compared to many other apps we feature, the price may seem a touch on the high side. That said, the quality of the app is also higher than average, rendering it well worth the money.

Nuance Removed Siri0us Package From Cydia !

What a bad news we have got now, from some time we told you about a new and cool package that available in Cydia store called Siri0us, this package allows users to use Siri dictation and it is available for iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS Siri dictation is a part from the full Siri part. But now we have got some bad news....

All iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS liked this package but it looks like that The fun did not last long and Nuance, software company that designed the Syrians, has asked the developer to remove Sir0us from Cydia and so it was. Recall that Siri0us leverages Nuance's servers just like the Syrians, and is therefore understandable that the company has put pressure on the developer in order to remove the package from Cydia.

Until now there is no news if Siri0us package is going to come again to Cydia store or not, who knows we will keep you updated....

LTE iPhone 5 And iPad 3 Reportedly In The Works, Slated For 2012 Release [REPORT]

Apple is reportedly preparing to release a 4G-capable iPad 3 in the summer, with the iPhone 5 following in Fall also boasting the connection technology of tomorrow. Additionally, both devices will be released on NTT DoCoMo, Japan’s foremost mobile carrier.
The timings would give the iPhone 4S, which released just last month, and the iPad 2, which dropped earlier this year, a decent spell as the top device.
NTT DoCoMo’s president Kiyoyuki Tsujimura and vice president Takashi Yamada are reported to have met Tim Cook earlier this month to smooth out the deal, and “agreed in principle” with Apple’s head honcho to sell both the next-generation iPhone and iPad. The verbal agreement also entailed a commitment to order, so although nothing’s been cast in stone, it does seem a strong possibility that the two companies will be doing a lot of business over the next 12 months.
There has been much talk during the course of the last year or so as to whether the fruit company would move towards 4G (or LTE, as it is referred to in Cupertino), but as yet, nothing has materialized. Apple has always maintained that the technology is not ready for mass adoption, since the current bunch of 4G LTE chips command too much power in order to run. With smartphone batteries about as useful as chocolate fire blankets just now, you’d have to say it’s been a wise move.
In addition, Apple’s CFO Peter Oppenheimer noted the LTE chipsets would beset design compromises which the Apple was not willing to make, at least not for the time being.
Up until recently, talks between Apple and perspective carrier partners throughout Asia had been hitting a brick wall due to Apple’s lack of room for negotiation on its principle beliefs. For example, Apple wanted carriers to commit to large volumes, something which – despite the popularity of the iPhone – those carriers were not always willing to make. Furthermore, NTT DoCoMo is reported to have wanted some form of influence on what software goes on consumers’ devices, and as you would expect, Apple was having none of it.

Apple’s Siri Assistant VS Android’s Cluzee (VIDEO)

Cluzee is a Siri-like application that allows access to many personal assistances. It is developed by Tronton LLC. Cluzee got labeled as one of the most intelligent personal assistants and has become an adequate competitor to Siri. With all the very good advantages it has over Siri, its ability to take in variety of commands makes it outrank. Personalized recommendations, daily calendar briefs, navigation, standard web search, weather information and news updates are some of its features. It would even allow Facebook and twitter updating and planning relating to anything; even your diet and much more. It includes features that not even Siri handles.
With the advent of Siri advertisement for the iPhone 4S few days back, the market got loaded with many copies of this application. However, none of them were even near Siri but the impact of Cluzee is applaud-able. For your confirmation the news of the app comes fromBGR - a well known blog that covers consumer electronics and technology.
Personally the application has been tested over Samsung Galaxy S II and the results are the same as stated. If you are a native you would not have any issues however if not then you must shift to the artificial native-ish accent. Apart from the accentual issues there is no trouble with it. You may enjoy all the features even if you do not own the iPhone.
The video below shows Cluzee in action:

Android Market:
Talk to your phone! I can help you save your time and money. Ask me to do things just by talking to your phone. Do Siri features in iPhone 4S excite you but you don’t own an iPhone? I bring conversational interface, intelligence and many more capabilities on Android.

Yet Another iPhone 4 Catches Fire, This Time In Brazil

Fire can be a wonderful thing, you just ask the cavemen! Those flickering orange flames aren’t so great when they’re emitting from your smartphone, though.
That’s even more true when those flames begin to engulf an iPhone that is plugged into an electrical source.
Unfortunately, it appears that our recent report of an iPhone catching fire on an internal Australian flight may not be an isolated incident, with news that a similar iPhone 4 also set itself alight when on charge overnight at a Brazilian residence.
The iPhone in question was on charge just a foot from its owner’s face when it apparently began to smoulder, a sure sign that something isn’t right if you ask us!
This isn’t the first time an iPhone has found itself a little warmer than Apple intended. Earlier this week we told you about an iPhone 4 reportedly emitting black smoke during a flight in Australia. With the plane safely on the ground safety officers are now trying to work out what the catalyst could be for an expensive, premium smartphone spontaneously self-combusting.
Apple has not yet commented either the incident in Australia, or the one in Brazil which happened when the handset was on charge. With millions of iPhones being left plugged into the wall overnight, let’s hope that charging is not a catalyst for the overheating that apparently caused these two fires.
At the moment all possibilities are merely speculative, but the finger is being squarely pointed at the batteries used in Apple’s iPhones. If you own an iPhone and charge it regularly, chances are you’ve noticed yourself how toasty your handset can get. The iPhone 4S even gets quite warm during seemingly trivial tasks, and we’re blaming iOS 5. Whether the two troublesome handsets to be set alight were running iOS 5, we’re not sure, but an increase in heat would match the decrease in battery life that many are experiencing.
Coincidence? Maybe, but to coin an appropriate phrase: ‘There’s no smoke without fire!’

iOS 5 Invalidates Home Screen Shortcuts, Doesn’t Aid Battery Life

The Apple tweak did not succeed in improving battery life but has put an end to the only Home Screen shortcuts technique that did not require jailbreaks.
Recently, Apple has released iOS 5.1 beta that has brought some but unfortunate changes. Firstly, the company has updated the dictations of Siri and secondly it has tried to ameliorate the battery in order to reduce the problems caused to the iOS 5 users.
Generally when you create shortcuts on your iPhone’s home screen you require a jail breaker. But with the updates in Apple’s iOS; every time there was a need for a new compatible jail breaker. We with our long hour study provided you a technique on how to establish screen shortcuts without using the everyday expiring jail breakers. The best thing about our method was that anyone could have easily gone through the steps without any hassle. However, with the latest release of iOS 5.1 beta; things have changed.
Apple has done nothing much with the battery issues; all you would notice is just a minute improvement however the update in the iOS has definitely brought an end to our technique. After an authentic testing we solemnly inform you that no longer can you create shortcuts on your home page through our way. All Apple succeeded in, was in destroying our success.
If you deem that they have done well with the battery thing then here, it is quite appropriate to say that you may not notice even a slight change in iOS 5.1 and iOS 5.0.1.
It is just to be hoped that in upcoming releases of iOS, Apple would be able to fix the battery time, till then we can wait while carrying our battery chargers everywhere.

iPhone 5 And iPad 3 Appears In Latest iOS 5.1 Beta Code !

A few hours we told you that Apple released iOS 5.1 beta to developers which will fix iPhone drain battery issue, just a few hours developers began digging around in latest iOS 5.1 beta codes and they have spotted something which I call it "Awesome" let us see what is it after the jump:

As you can see from the photo above which show's Apple has included a product identifier for an ‘iPhone5,1”, which is undoubtedly the company’s sixth-generation iPhone — the iPhone 5. The iPhone began with the code ‘iPhone1,1” when it first launched back in 2007, with Apple’s most recent iPhone, the iPhone 4S, labeled the ‘iPhone4,1”. And as you can see iPhone5,1 that made with a red arrow show's Apple's next generation of iPhone which is the iPhone 5, Rumors have suggested the next iPhone will carry a 4" screen rather than the usual 3.5" screen found in all previous iPhone models. The new iPhone is also believed to have been prototyped with a tapering design in the past, though the most recent rumors suggest the actual release iPhone will not resemble the mockups.

So what do you think it looks very interesting right ?! Can't wait to see...

Siri Dictation comes to iPhone 4 jailbreak required

The Siri Dictation feature that is currently exclusive to the iPhone 4S — along with Siri — can now be used on the iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4G. Developer Eric Day has released a new jailbreak package that brings Siri Dictation to the iPhone 4, with a few simple steps. The jailbreak package is called Siri0us and is available via a Cydia repository. As you can see in the video above, Siri0us works just like Siri Dictation would on the iPhone 4S. We’re hearing some reports floating around that this tweak uses Nuance’s technology, but its cool nonetheless.
Meanwhile, developers are still working to bring a Siri port to the iPhone 4, and have already come up with some pretty cool custom use cases.

New Ac1dSn0w Jailbreak tool beta 1

Ac1dsn0w is a new jailbreak tool released by the Pwn Dev Team to jailbreak iOS 5 and iOS 5.0.1.

Be warned that Ac1dsn0w is brand new and in Beta number 1. There will be bugs. You do this at your own risk. If you want a more reliable jailbreak, use Redsn0w or Sn0wbreeze.

TETHERED JAILBREAK

Ac1dsn0w is only available for Mac OS X right now. You can download Ac1dsn0w for Mac here.

This jailbreak tool only works with:
  • iPhone 3Gs
  • iPhone 4
  • iPod Touch 4G
  • iPad 1
To jailbreak an iOS 5 or iOS 5.0.1 iDevice using Ac1dsn0w, you will need the Ac1dsn0w application. Right now, it's only available for Mac OS X Lion and Snow Leopard. You can download it here. It is about a 35MB download and will take a bit to download depending on your internetconnection type and speed.

After you have downloaded it, unzip the .zip file and drag the application to your applications folder. Once you do that, open it up. The window will look like the first picture of this guide; up above. This is the main window of Ac1dsn0w. You have the option to jailbreak, boot tethered, enter pwned DFU mode, or exit recovery. Additionally, if you're an expert, you might want to show the console; it shows device information and the current state of the jailbreaking process. If you're a newbie, you might want to show the assistant; it shows how to get into DFU mode. The assistant and the console can be seen below:

Once you put your device into DFU mode, you can use the assistant on Ac1dsn0w but clicking, "show assistant" if you don't know how, you can click the jailbreak button on Ac1dsn0w. Ac1dsn0w will then go through the process that it needs to:

When it finishes the jailbreak process, you can click on the Tethered Boot option to boot tethered after jailbreaking. You will need to put your Device into DFU mode to do this just like any other tethered jailbreak; follow the assistant again before you click it:

Once you are up and running, enjoy your tethered jailbreak on iOS 5 and iOS 5.0.1! You can install the Semi-tether to have the freedom to boot up your iDevice with stock iOS features. The Semi-tether will not grant you any jailbreak features until you boot tethered again.
